During the mid-1990s, the Group expanded into livestock exports, connecting producers in the Horn of Africa with international markets, particularly Yemen and Saudi Arabia. In the early 2000s, RIC Group launched its trading and import operations, broadening its role in regional and international trade. This phase enhanced the Group’s supply networks and positioned it as a reliable partner across multiple markets and product categories.

By 2008, the Group diversified into real estate development and construction, including the establishment of Durdur business centers, responding to urban growth and the increasing demand for modern commercial infrastructure. These investments marked a significant step in long-term asset development. In the late 2010s RIC Group expanded into hospitality, restaurants, and lifestyle services to meet the growing needs of the region’s residents and visitors. Our portfolio includes Carro Edeg Hotel, recognized as one of the finest hotels in Somaliland, alongside our diverse restaurant division featuring brands such as Chocolate Inn, House of Waffles, and premium coffee shops.
